Description
The Senior Project Manager will work with our clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This role will be responsible for leading cross-functional technical teams, defining project timelines, as well as managing risks and resolving issues as they arise. To be successful in this role you will be an elite stakeholder manager with a proven record of delivery.
Responsibilities:
Working with Novigi clients to ensure the successful delivery of their projects within a specified scope, timeline and budget. Duties will include (but not limited to):
• Development of detailed project and program plans.
• Facilitation of requirements workshops.
• Measurement of project performance using appropriate project management frameworks.
• Analysis and reporting of project progress, and, where necessary, adjusting scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that the project team adheres to project requirements through change control practises.
• Proactive identification and analysis of risks, and implementation of mitigation strategies as appropriate.
• Execution of program and project governance processes.
• Stakeholder engagement and management.
• Stipulating and maintaining program and project documentation.
• Facilitate key project meetings
• Mentoring of peers and team members.
• People leadership to support the portfolio lead as required.
• The role is based in Melbourne, Sydney or Wollongong.
Skills and experience
• Extensive Project Management experience.
• High level of experience with project management and software development methodologies.
• Experience managing projects in highly regulated industries (Banking or Superannuation) would be highly regarded.
• Demonstrated project delivery experience in leading Fund Administration migrations, Admin re- platform forming, SFT’s, Integrations, Data Migrations will be favoured.
• Leading, managing and motivating multi-disciplinary project delivery teams, consisting of internal, client and external resources to achieve outstanding results.
• Project management certification is advantageous.
Knowledge and Skills
• Highly developed strategic, analytical, problem solving, issues management and evaluation skills to deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience with working with C-Suite executive level.
• Experience managing a mix of Onshore and Offshore technology/technical delivery, business systems analysis, releases and test teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to present to stakeholders and communicate complex issues in simple terms.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently both autonomously and collaboratively.
• Proven experience delivering complex projects, managing multiple streams of work.
• Can operate effectively in an ambiguous environment, working with teams and clients to translate into delivery certainty.
