Dental Assistant (Surgical) – Brisbane Valley

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant (Surgical) to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a surgical environment. This role is crucial in supporting dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Ensure the surgical area is clean and sterile before, during, and after procedures
• Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments
• Provide post-operative care instructions to patients and address any concerns
• Monitor patient comfort and vital signs during procedures
• Assist in the management of dental supplies and inventory
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction

Qualifications:

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a surgical setting
• Strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure
• Proficient in using dental software and managing patient records
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
