With operations in Perth metro and the Pilbara, Northfleet provide comprehensive fleet solutions to our valued clients. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager for our Hazelmere operations.

About the Role

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the overall day-to-day operations of the Hazelmere Depot. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role is responsible for the provision of scheduled vehicle servicing (prime movers, trucks, 4WDs, buses, transport trailers and ancillary transport equipment), preventative and breakdown maintenance, vehicle detailing, depot maintenance, implementation of OHSE guidelines, co-ordination of Wet and Dry hire services and ensuring a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the efficient running of the depot in respect of revenue, costs and profitability against budget

• Actively pursue business improvement opportunities based around effectiveness and efficiencies

• Development of financial, capex, labour budgets and forecasts

• Implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, focusing on OHSE and operations

• Maintain and develop effective relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

• Coordination of depot maintenance of all assets including depot grounds, workshop equipment, office, ensuring compliance to lease, OHSE and legislative requirements

• Work with the Workshop Supervisor to coordinate workshop tasks for Heavy and Light Vehicle Mechanics including rectification of defects, breakdowns, preventative maintenance and periodic servicing

• Effective management of bus drivers, office, workshop and detailing staff and ensure correct level of resources available to meet business requirements

• Support and ensure compliance with regional purchasing and inventory strategies

* Ensure a high level of safety leadership is provided at all times

• Ensure that the working environment presents minimal risk to the environment and people

• Provide the initiative and follow-up on corrective measures

• Involve other employees in OHSE matters to reduce or eliminate hazards

About You:

• Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

• Well-developed leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, attract and retain staff

• Well-developed time management skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strength in working as a team player and work towards team goals and align with Northfleet values

• Previous demonstrated supervisory experience in challenging and fast paced environments

• Mechanical Aptitude
