Norma’s Deli is an always-on banquette of food and drinks. It’s a one-stop destination for takeaway goods when a legion of friends come over for a Sunday late lunch or a revolving deli offering for a mid-week meeting at the bar. The menu is influenced by Greek flavours but expands its repertoire to include Mediterranean-style dishes; think jam-packed sandwiches on freshly baked bread and a lemon tart to finish. Norma’s is best-in-class when it comes to a Deli concept, as the pre-prepped food cabinet sits alongside the live kitchen, bakery and bar. The onsite sourdough bakery will operate alongside a rotisserie, with fine deli meats being cut on order. The Deli operates from morning to afternoon, offering the Manly locals and visitors a reliable option when it comes to any food and drink occasion. Whether you are visiting for the first time or are a frequent patron, Norma’s will become synonymous with the overall beachside experience.

About the Opportunity

Norma’s is on the hunt for a passionate, skilled, and motivated Front of House Venue Manager to lead our front-of-house, catering and grocery team. This is a full-time role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about leading a front-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining strong venue operations.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in Venue Management or a related senior leadership role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on food and beverage operations.
  • Proven strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, develop, and manage a team effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations and policies applicable to a licensed venue.
  • Confident in overseeing venue operations, including staffing, customer service and training.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in maintaining accurate records of venue operations, including financial reports and inventory management.
  • Experience in managing and optimising stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and conducting regular inventory counts to minimise waste and ensure product availability.
  • Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends.
