About the Opportunity: Chef

Norma’s Deli is on the lookout for an experienced, reliable and trustworthy Chef to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day kitchen operations. We’re seeking someone dependable, proactive, and eager to grow, someone who can take ownership of their section and develop into broader kitchen responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prep ingredients (washing, chopping, marinating, etc.)
  • Measure and assemble ingredients according to recipes
  • Prepare dishes in line with menu specs and recipe standards
  • Assist in ordering stock and maintaining stock levels
  • Operate kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, ovens, etc.) safely and efficiently
  • Cook food to order with proper timing and presentation
  • Ensure all food is cooked to safe internal temperatures and follows health standards
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head Chef

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Hold relevant qualifications and/or 3years + experience in a production kitchen
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
  • A team player with good communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Head Chef
