Casual Registered or Enrolled Nurse – Cairns GP Superclinic

The Role: We offer a high-volume casual roster (4–5 shifts, approx. 30–37.5 hours/week). We are looking for nurses who embrace flexibility across our operating hours:

• Mon – Fri: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Weekends: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Competitive penalty rates apply for afternoon shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Clinical: Triage, emergency response, immunisations, ECGs, spirometry, and audiograms.
• GP Support: Assisting with surgical procedures, excisions, and wound management.
• Care Management: Health assessments, chronic disease care plans, and health coaching.
• Operational: Managing eHealth, patient reminders, and treatment room coordination.

Requirements:

• Registration: Current AHPRA General Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
• Mindset: A solution-focused approach with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork: Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively while adhering to clinical policies and procedures.

Desirable:

• Eligibility: While applicants with full work rights are preferred, we welcome applications on other visa types and are open to providing visa sponsorship for the right candidate.
• Software: Proficiency in Best Practice or similar medical software.
• Experience: Previous nursing experience in an Australian General Practice setting.
• Specialised Skills: Experience or qualifications in immunisations, care plans, and health assessments.
