About the Role
The Production Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high‑quality operation of the Timber Frame & Truss Production Team. You will be the first point of contact for machine issues, breakdowns, and team escalations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining a strong safety culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing day-to-day production operations
- Ensuring compliance with safe work procedures
- Maintaining high product quality standards
- Coordinating machine troubleshooting and breakdown response
- Leading training, development, and performance support for the Production Team
- Working closely with management to achieve business goals and continuous improvement initiatives

What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A strong record of punctuality and reliability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proven experience in leading and developing cohesive and efficient work teams
- Proven experience optimising factory output
- Experience using production software (MiTek OptiFLOW an advantage but not essential)
- Working knowledge of timber sizes and grades
- Strong general computer literacy including computerised factory equipment
- An unrestricted drivers licence
- A current forklift ticket
- Availability to work full-time hours within NewTruss operating hours
