About The Role
New Plumbing Solutions is building our team of casual Water Metering Technicians for upcoming projects – and we want to hear from you!
Casual position with consistent full-time hours available (38+ hours per week). Whilst this is a casual role there is potential for it to become permanent.

What You’ll Be Doing – A Day in the Life
- Start your day by checking your schedule
- Head out to site
- Attend approx 30+ residential or commercial properties per day
- Perform field metering activities including Installing/replacing meters, installing/replacing data loggers and completing metering investigations
- Accurately record meter specifications and site data using a mobile app
- Log each completed job on our mobile app before moving to the next
Key Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
- Water Meter replacement & assembly maintenance.
- Follow correct replacement procedures.
- Customer Service – face to face and phone
- Perform tasks within budgets and time frames
- Communicate regularly with office support team
- Maintain accurate and timely digital job installation records
- Ensure that all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with state and company OH&S policies and procedures.
- Work independently day to day and to a schedule
About You
We are looking for reliable and dedicated individuals to help us on a variety of ongoing projects. The ideal candidates will possess the following:
- Strong mechanical aptitude – proficient with hand tools.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic with a willingness to learn
- An aptitude for problem solving
- Attention to detail – Data accuracy is essential
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work under supervision both individually and occasionally in a team setting.
- Able to do a lot of bending, squatting and walking (moderate degree of physical fitness)
- Ability to work in most weather conditions.
- Flexible and comfortable with daily travel
- A current driver’s licence
- A red/ white card
