About You

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will lead the digital strategy, content delivery, and campaign performance that brings high levels of excitement and engagement of NWC2027 to fans around the world. You will manage and enhance our presence across websites, social media, CRM, paid media, and digital partnerships—ensuring everything aligns with our brand, commercial objectives, and fan engagement goals.

 

Working closely with internal teams, agencies, partners, and World Netball, you will deliver impactful digital activity that builds momentum toward an unforgettable tournament.

About the Role

Throughout your journey with the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027, you will:

 

Digital Strategy & Campaigns

  • Create and execute the NWC2027 digital marketing strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels.
  • Drive fan acquisition, brand growth, engagement and conversion through data-driven planning.
  • Deliver campaigns for major milestones—launches, ticketing phases, merchandise, hospitality, and partner activity.
  • Manage digital calendars, workflows, and campaign planning.

 Digital Platforms & Website

  • Oversee the NWC2027 website, content quality, accessibility, and governance.
  • Lead ongoing updates in collaboration with the Digital Content Producer.

 Content & Social Media Leadership

  • Guide the content strategy across social, web, email and video.
  • Ensure brand consistency, tone of voice, and creative alignment.
  • Support influencer strategies and community engagement initiatives.

 Performance Marketing & Paid Media

  • Plan and optimise paid campaigns across search, social, display, and video.
  • Analyse performance, optimise against KPIs and manage agency relationships.

 CRM, Data & Insights

  • Contribute to CRM strategy including segmentation, automation, and eDM campaigns.
  • Grow audience databases and leverage insights for improved performance.

 Analytics & Reporting

  • Monitor performance across all channels and provide regular reporting.
  • Use insights to optimise content, campaigns and forecasting.

 Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Collaborate with teams across Marketing, Ticketing, Commercial, Fan Engagement and Operations.
  • Support partners with digital asset delivery and integration.
  • Manage agencies, digital suppliers and platform relationships.

 Event-Time Delivery

  • Lead digital operations during the tournament, including live content, social coverage, reporting and on-ground fan engagement.

What sets you apart:

  • 5–8+ years’ experience in digital marketing, content, social media or performance marketing
  • Proven campaign delivery experience in sport, events, entertainment or major consumer brand
  • Strong content strategy, digital publishing and CMS experience
  • Paid media experience and strong analytics capability
  • Excellent communication, writing and storytelling skills
  • Strong stakeholder & project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, milestone-driven environment
  • Knowledge of ticketing conversion, fan engagement strategies and CRM platforms
  • Experience working with creative, digital, or media agencies
  • Understanding of commercial partner integration

Additional Information                                                                                            

Reporting into the Senior Manager – Marketing & Communications, this full-time role will be based at Sydney Olympic Park, on a fixed-term basis through to September 2027. Given the unique nature of the sports industry, and the domestic & global reach of our organisation, travelling and working outside of Netball HQ and traditional office hours may be required from time to time. Our teams work flexibly, and we encourage the successful applicant to discuss flexible working options with their new Manager.
