Video Technician – Creative Technology, Melbourne

Part of the NEP worldwide network, NEP Live Events Australia & New Zealand operating under the brand Creative Technology is a leading technology provider supporting sporting events, concert touring, festivals, television and live corporate events industries with divisions in Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and worldwide.
Reporting to the Technical Project Planning and Training Manager, we are recruiting for a permanent Video Technician who has the desire to work with Creative Technology and join our vibrant team of employees based at the Scoresby warehouse location in Melbourne.
This role works with Senior Technicians, Operations and Warehouse teams to support the planning, coordination and execution of events.
Essential criteria to be a successful applicant is experience in the following areas:
• Warehouse operations where technical and high-end equipment is in use such as LED screens, projectors, video switchers, media servers, portable production systems and cameras.
• Experience with inventory management systems (we use EasyJob)
• Highly organised to ensure timely management of inbound and outbound inventory
• Experience with loading and unloading vehicles and trucks with potential for driving duties to/from sites as required
About you;
• Current Drivers licence
• Self-motivated, team player
• Willing to learn and look for leadership and guidance
• Able to demonstrate technical thinking and aptitude
• Flexible attitude towards work hours and locations given the times that events are on
Desired criteria include:
• Previous entertainment / audiovisual / TV industry experience highly regarded.
• Basic IT skills including inventory management systems.
• Completion of industry-related certificate or diploma is beneficial but not essential.
• Working experience in a warehousing operations setting including meeting the demands of a physically strenuous job.
