We support individuals with high and low care needs, providing skilled nursing interventions, independent nursing assessments, continence management, health education, and clinical coordination.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (Casual Contractor) to join our nursing team. The role is ideal for nurses who value autonomy, clinical problem-solving, and supporting people with disability within the community. Prior NDIS experience is welcome but not essential, we provide full clinical onboarding and mentoring.

You will work across a varied caseload including continence care, bowel programs, gastrostomy support, wound care, medication management, assessments, and health coaching for families and caregivers.

  • Complete comprehensive health assessments, independent nursing assessments, continence assessments, and clinical risk reviews.
  • Support bowel care, bladder management, constipation monitoring, and continence education for families, schools, and caregivers.
  • Deliver safe PEG/G-tube care, feeding support, and medication administration where appropriate.
  • Provide simple wound care, skin integrity monitoring, and pressure injury prevention strategies.
  • Identify health deterioration, escalation needs, and early-warning signs, ensuring rapid communication with the CNC.
  • Develop clear clinical plans and ensure safe delegation and documentation of care.
  • Collaborate with allied health clinicians to support holistic care and consistent practice.
  • Educate families, support workers, and school staff to promote safe, sustainable, and clinically appropriate care.
  • Attend MDT meetings, school planning sessions, and clinical case reviews as required.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a clinician who is:

  • Confident, clinically sound, and compassionate.

  • Interested in providing community-based health care with a disability-focused lens.
  • Able to communicate clearly with families, educators, support coordinators, and medical professionals.
  • Willing to develop skills in continence, complex care, PEG management, assessments, and risk mitigation.
  • Organised, accountable, and committed to high-quality documentation and safe practice.
  • Open to participating in transdisciplinary collaboration alongside physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, and AHAs.
