Summary

The Eastern Regional Manager leads NASCA programs across the Eastern and Hunter region, coaching and supporting Team Leaders to deliver high-quality school and community initiatives. You’ll oversee program planning and delivery, ensure strong engagement with schools and communities, and use data and stories to drive continuous improvement. This role is key to shaping outcomes for young people and strengthening cultural pride in the region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead NASCA programs across the Eastern region, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard and achieve meaningful outcomes for young people.
  • Coach, mentor, and support Team Leaders, helping them grow in their roles and create strong, effective teams.
  • Collaborate with schools, communities, and regional partners to plan and deliver activities that meet local needs and reflect NASCA’s values.
  • Collect and analyse program data and stories from students, schools, volunteers, and communities to inform improvements and demonstrate impact.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, community organisations, regional partners, and NASCA teams to strengthen program delivery and engagement.
  • Oversee multiple sites to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with NASCA objectives across the Eastern region.

Must Haves

  • Relevant qualification or experience in teaching, social sciences, youth and community services, Indigenous studies, coaching, health, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing or leading a team, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
  • Understanding of issues facing young people, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Cross-cultural competency, with a commitment to social justice, inclusion, and equality.
  • Strong program or project planning, coordination, and implementation skills, with the ability to oversee multiple sites.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with schools, communities, and regional partners to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across sites.
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police/AFP clearances.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications, or willingness to obtain and maintain them.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to the needs of diverse communities.
