The National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO) is the national peak body representing 148 Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs). ACCHOs deliver comprehensive primary health care to more than half of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples nationally.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative and secretariat support to the Deputy CEO, reporting directly to the Executive Officer.

The role works closely with other Executive, Directors and with a variety of internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion when responding to business needs within tight timeframes.

Responsibilities of this role but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement processes and practices and identify opportunities to improve workflows in and out of the office of the Deputy CEO.
  • Diary and calendar management, including anticipating requirements, and initiating the timely provision of material for all meetings and other engagements.
  • Support the Executive Officer in the review and preparation of a range of submissions, reports, correspondence, and briefs, and where relevant provide feedback and liaise with Directors and internal stakeholders.
  • Arrange meeting venues, video conference bookings and provision of catering and liaising with stakeholders to coordinate meetings, events and other matters.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership in a complex environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • An understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and health contexts, or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
