About the Role

MyCISO is building the SecurityOS for modern security leaders — replacing spreadsheets and fragmented tools with a single platform for risk, compliance, incidents, suppliers, metrics, and culture.

We’re looking for a Head of AI Engineering to lead our AI roadmap and manage our outsourced engineering team. This is a rare opportunity to work directly with the CEO and shape how AI is embedded into a real SaaS product solving real customer problems.

The Role

You’ll own the technical direction for AI across the MyCISO platform — from architecture and design through to delivery, quality, security, and scale.

You’ll work closely with leadership and product to identify high-value opportunities, turn them into production-ready features, and ensure our outsourced team delivers at a high standard.

What You’ll Do

• Define and lead MyCISO’s AI engineering strategy and roadmap.

• Transition and maintain the app into an AI native / AI ready form.

• Design and deliver secure, scalable AI-powered product features.

• Manage and uplift an outsourced engineering team.

• Work with the CEO and Product Owner to prioritise valuable AI use cases.

• Establish standards across architecture, testing, security, observability, and release quality.

• Guide build vs buy decisions across models, tools, and platforms.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience leading software engineering teams, including outsourced or distributed teams.

• Experience shipping AI-enabled product features into production.

• Strong architecture capability across backend systems, APIs, cloud, and SaaS products.

• Practical understanding of LLMs, prompt design, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.

• Strong communication skills and commercial judgment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in cyber security, GRC, risk, or compliance.

• Experience in B2B SaaS or startup environments.

• Experience with agentic workflows or AI automation.
