Disability Support Worker – High Needs

At My Team Support Services, we’re passionate about empowering people with disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives. We provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with complex physical needs including Quadriplegia, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), and other physical disabilities.

About the Role:

We are seeking Disability Support Workers who either have experience in high-needs care or are eager to be trained in this specialised area. You’ll be working closely with clients to support their daily living, mobility, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support tailored to individual needs
• Assist with mobility using hoist lifts, Sara Stedy, slide sheets, and transfer boards
• Support clients with hygiene, meal preparation, and social activities
• Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and team members
• Maintain accurate records and uphold professional standards

Hours are varied and may include daily hours ranging from 7am – 10am and 6pm to 10pm, and/or community access hours, evening hours as they are varied depending on Participant need.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in high-needs disability support (preferred but not essential)
• Willingness to undertake training in complex care and manual handling
• Compassionate, reliable, and respectful attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Cert III or IV in Disability Support (or working towards)
• Current First Aid, CPR, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and Driver’s License
