The Role:
We are seeking a HSE Officer with cross role responsibility to assist in the management of company assets in Brisbane. You will collaborate with our in-house team of engineers, architects, and project managers in delivering high-quality projects across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Your Responsibilities:
- Carry out investigations into all incidents and implement resulting OFIs
- Ensure that Opportunities for Improvements are captured and managed
- Ensure that the integrated management system stays effective when changes occur
- Work alongside the Project and Site Managers to ensure that our projects meet the compliance levels required
- Assist in the setting up of the projects physical and administrative needs in relation to Quality, Safety & Environment (e.g PMP & on-site establishment)
- Assist in the assessment of Subcontractors SWEMS
- Assist in the management of the sites safety, quality and environment on sites under the project managers requirements
- Assist in the continuing and ongoing development of the Company’s Integrated Quality, Health and Safety and Environment Management Systems in line with ISO45001, ISO14001, and ISO9001 standards
- Report on the performance of the companies Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental aspects
- Carry out internal Audits of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Aspects
- Prepare & assist with external Audits of the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental systems
- Assist in the management and installation of site security systems (cameras etc)
- Tracking, tagging and servicing of site based assets & equipment
What You Bring:
- Certification in IV Health and Safety
- Proven experience in managing QHSE of multi-residential, industrial, and commercial construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience working with ISO accreditation to Quality, Safety and Environment standards.
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Excellent communication skills
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence.
- Structural trade qualifications and site-based experience are seen as highly favourable
