Summary:

We are seeking Classroom teacher. This is fixed term role, subject to the performance review at the end of the year. General Requirements:

The primary responsibility of a successful candidate is to deliver and promote learning within and outside the classroom. Furthermore, you are expected to:

  • Have a deep understanding of the curriculum.
  • Have excellent teaching practice and skills to cater to students with diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
  • Keep up to date with modern teaching practices.
  • Use a variety of assessment tasks for students to experience success and accurately assess levels of student achievement.
  • Attend relevant professional development sessions.
  • Carry out administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain records of classroom attendance.
  • Write student reports and attend parent/teacher interview.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Perform supervisory duties as required.
  • Provide required adjustments and support for students with individual learning needs, ensuring these are implemented through well‑documented, inclusive, and responsive classroom practices.

Specific Requirements:

A successful and candidate is expected to:

  • Commit to the College philosophy and values.
  • Abide by and support the College Code of Conducts, including the dress codes, supervise, participate and portray exemplary behaviors in the set activities.

Qualifications & Experiences:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Teaching.
  • Hold a current VIT registration (or ability to obtain such registration), which includes a Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check.
  • Ability to form a positive rapport with other staff and students and build collaborative working relationships.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and willing to contribute within a team environment.
  • Use best endeavours to maintain, promote and advance the reputation and the success of the College.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate is desirable.
  • Provide three referees who can comment on previous experience in relation to this selection criteria.
