Care Support Worker – Toronto, Nelson Bay & Surrounds

We’re looking for Care Support Workers based in or near Toronto, Nelson Bay and surrounding areas to support older people in their own homes.

You’ll support multiple local clients each day, travelling between homes and providing practical, respectful care.

Client runs are planned to minimise travel time and support work–life balance.

What you’ll be doing

Your role will include supporting several clients across the day with:

• Personal care and daily living support

• Medication reminders

• Cleaning, laundry and simple meal preparation

• Social support and friendly conversation

• Transport to appointments or outings

You’ll generally support the same clients each week, giving you consistency alongside variety.

🕘 A typical day in the role

A typical shift may include:

• Starting from home and travelling to your first local client

• Visiting multiple clients across your shift

• Providing care and practical support in each home

• Travelling short distances between homes (paid travel time)

• Building strong relationships with familiar clients in your community

✅ Paid travel

Travel between client homes during your shift is paid, with client runs scheduled locally to reduce unnecessary driving.

What you’ll need

• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)- essential

• Experience in aged care, disability or community services- desirable

• Comfortable travelling between client homes

• Based locally in the Toronto / Nelson Bay area or nearby

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle – essential

• A kind, reliable and professional approach
