We are looking for an experienced and organised Criminal and Family Law Paralegal/ Legal Executive to support our Criminal and Family Law teams. You should have a friendly disposition, strong organisational skills, and experience working in either Crime or Family Law, both would be ideal. A strong work ethic and the ability to manage pressure and work autonomously are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of legal documents, including drafting court briefs.

• Effective diary management and extensive email management.

• Meticulous file management, ensuring cost agreements and payment follow-ups.

• Transcribing documents and correspondence from digital dictation.

• Amending general legal and court documents (deeds, affidavits, writs).

• Liaising professionally with internal and external clients via phone and email.

• Preparing monthly client billing invoices.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience using LEAP and advanced knowledge of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Experience using the Magistrates’ Court Electronic Filing Appearance System (eFAS) and the Commonwealth Courts Portal.

• Experience using eBrief Ready.

• Fellowship of the Institute of Legal Executives (preferred).

• Strong organisational skills and attention-to-detail.

• A confident, proactive approach to work and client relationships.

• Excellent customer service and team-oriented attitude.
