The Role:
You’ll be the go‑to leader for our Field Services technicians, guiding, coordinating, and supporting teams in real time across national sites. From aftersales and maintenance to troubleshooting and repairs, you’ll ensure every job is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows the field and isn’t afraid to make smart decisions on the fly. You’ll keep your team moving, remove roadblocks, and step in when things get challenging all while protecting our reputation for industry leading performance and customer satisfaction.
Beyond day‑to‑day execution, you’ll lead by example: building trust with technicians, strengthening team culture, and continuously improving how we operate. Your technical expertise and practical mindset will help identify better, faster, and more cost‑effective ways to get the job done driving project success and setting the standard for excellence in the field.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all field service personnel who perform on-site services including installation, commissioning, repair and aftersales support
- Developing methods, guidelines and processes to ensure efficient service delivery
- Travelling throughout the region to various mining operations for essential on-site inspections and visits
- Supervising all service and repair jobs to ensure they are completed to the customers expected level of quality and within the negotiated time frame
- Providing quick response solutions to technical issues that may arise during or post installation
- Liaising closely with key stakeholders to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and new vendors within the region
- Providing assistance and guidance to service staff and Project managers on all project related matters
- Assisting with various operational requirements, assessment, process improvement and documentation as required
- Identifying opportunities for additional product sales through effective relationship management and networking
Skills & Experience:
- Essential trade qualifications, experience working in a similar role and highly capable with equipment installs and troubleshooting
- A knowledge of the Australian mining industry, specifically the geography and ownership of operations nationally
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Calm and confident when resolving escalated issues from operations, that will require quick thinking, resourcefulness and effective collaboration
- An inherent technical aptitude with the ability to learn new products, understanding their capability and associated benefits that will support client relations
- Highly adaptable with exceptional fault finding and independent problem-solving skills8
- Can produce detailed and informative reports for both internal and external stakeholders
- Hands on project supervision and coordination of site personnel and subcontractors
- Can consistently think ‘outside of the box’ to improve project deliverables, timelines and marginStrong safety management awareness with a passion for educating and promoting
