Description

Meyer Food Co

When people hear the name Meyer Food Co, most haven’t heard of us — and that’s fine.

We’re not a brand in the spotlight, but we’re behind some of the biggest names in Australia. Our products are used by major retailers, clubs, pubs, national fast-food chains, aged care providers and hospitals across the country.

We specialise in value-added food. Using a unique cooking and packaging process, we take raw ingredients and turn them into slow-cooked, nutritious, great-tasting meals.

Last year alone, we produced enough meat to feed every person in Australia three times over. Chances are, you’ve eaten our products plenty of times without even realising.

How you’ll contribute to our success

We’re growing — new equipment, new people and more volume. That growth only works if our people are set up to perform. That’s where you come in.

You’ll help bring structure and consistency to how we train across our manufacturing lines. Working closely with the Senior HR Manager, you’ll turn processes into simple, practical training that operators can actually use.

Your impact will be seen where it matters:

  • Fewer errors and less damaged product
  • Better yield and more efficient production
  • Stronger safety awareness and compliance

This isn’t training for the sake of it — it’s about helping our teams perform better every day.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the development and rollout of training for operators and supervisors
  • Turn production processes into simple, practical training
  • Help improve yield, efficiency and reduce errors through better training
  • Assist in leadership development initiatives alongside the Senior HR Manager
  • Improve onboarding so new starters become productive faster
  • Work across safety, quality and operations to keep training consistent
  • Support HR with onboarding and administration as required (part of a small team)

Why this role

This is a role where you’ll actually build capability, not just coordinate it. You’ll work closely with an experienced HR leader who will guide you, challenge you and help you grow quickly. You’ll see the direct impact of your work on operations — from how people are trained, to how the business performs — and you’ll have a clear pathway to step into a more senior capability role as you develop.

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with the energy to work in a hands-on, team-based environment
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, warehousing or similar (ideal, not essential)
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who can work with a range of people
  • Willing to learn, take ownership and get involved

What makes this role different

You won’t be stuck behind a desk building training that never gets used. You’ll be out on the floor, working alongside operators and supervisors, seeing how things actually run and helping turn that into training that makes a difference. You’ll build skills quickly, get real exposure to operations, and be part of improving how the business performs day to day.

If you’re looking for a role where you can learn fast, contribute in a meaningful way, and build real capability with the right support behind you — this is the place for you!
