The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in commercial construction to join our Brisbane team.
This role suits a professional who has successfully delivered building projects for a head contractor and is confident managing programme, procurement, contracts and project financial performance from start to finish. You will play a key role in delivering safe, high quality and financially successful projects while leading teams and strengthening client relationships across Queensland.
Working closely with senior leadership and your project team, you will contribute to all stages of project delivery from design coordination through to completion.
What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects from start to finish, including:
- Preparing and monitoring project schedules and procurement programs.
- Administering head contracts, subcontracts, progress claims and variations.
- Managing project budgets and ensuring the project remains cash positive.
- Leading and mentoring project teams.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identifying risks and opportunities to enhance project outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
You are an experienced construction professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You’ll also bring:
- Experience delivering commercial construction projects in a Project Manager role
- A background working for a head contractor in Australia
- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong financial and contractual management capability
- Proven ability to lead and develop project teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive mindset with a focus on safety, quality and client outcomes
