Disability Support Worker – Albury

Summary:

As a Disability Support Worker in Albury, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This temporary, casual position is essential for providing compassionate care and support, ensuring that clients can live as independently as possible while receiving the assistance they need. Your contributions will be invaluable in promoting inclusivity and dignity within the community.

We are seeking applicants with demonstrated experience in the following areas:

Supported Independent Living (SIL) Experience providing direct support to individuals within SIL environments, ensuring safety, independence, and high‑quality care.

Children’s Support Experience working with children, including the ability to provide age‑appropriate support, build positive relationships, and contribute to their development and wellbeing.

Day Program Services Experience delivering support within Day Program services, including engagement in meaningful activities, community participation, and skill‑building opportunities. This role will also include providing Out of Home Care support as required.

Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
• Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel.
• Encourage and promote independence and self-advocacy among clients.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans.
