We’re looking for a General Manager to lead the overall performance, strategic direction and day-to-day success of the agency. Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will lead our senior team across client services, creative and media, while helping shape the future of our service offering, agency growth and commercial success.
What You’ll Do
Lead the overall performance and strategic direction of The Social CliQ
Drive strong commercial results across revenue, utilisation, profitability and delivery margins
Oversee agency forecasting and financial performance in partnership with finance and operations
Lead and develop the senior leadership team across client services, creative and paid media
Ensure work across all client accounts is delivered to a consistently high standard
Act as the senior escalation point for complex client, delivery and operational issues
Guide the evolution of our digital services across social media, paid media, content and integrated campaigns
Partner with the Account Director to ensure strategies are commercially viable, scalable and aligned to agency direction
Work closely with the Agency Operations Lead to improve performance, resourcing and delivery efficiency
Identify opportunities to strengthen service offerings, pricing models and delivery frameworks
Support agency growth through sales-level strategies, pitch decks and commercial proposals
Help onboard new clients, setting strong strategic foundations and clear expectations from the outset
Monitor emerging digital platforms, technologies and trends to keep the agency ahead of the curve
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture where teams feel supported, accountable and energised
What You’ll Bring
10+ years’ experience in a digital, social media or marketing agency
5+ years in a senior leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategy, social media and performance marketing
Proven experience overseeing agency commercial performance and delivery sustainability
Confidence leading senior teams across client service, creative and media functions
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance growth, performance and delivery quality
Experience shaping digital services, service offerings or agency capability
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A strategic mindset with the ability to make sound decisions in fast-moving environments
A collaborative leadership style and a genuine passion for building strong teams and culture
A proactive approach to innovation, continuous improvement and agency growth
