Summary:

The Perinatal Mental Health Alliance (PMHA) Project Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of mental health initiatives within the charity sector. This position involves coordinating projects aimed at improving mental health outcomes in the community, ensuring compliance with organisational standards, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders. The role is vital for enhancing the charity’s impact and promoting mental well-being across the ACT.

The role is a temporary full-time role, finishing in December 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of mental health projects.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote mental health awareness.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability.
  • Conduct research and gather data to inform project development and improvement.
  • Support the development of promotional materials and communication strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as psychology, social work, or public health.
  • Experience in project management or coordination, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
  • A passion for mental health advocacy and community service.
