About the role:

Following a review of our strategic clinical portfolio, Melville Cares has created an Enrolled Nurse portfolio to complement our clinical team and therefore we are now seeking two Enrolled Nurses to join the organisation. If you are passionate to support clients in the community and seeking a full-time role, working alongside a skilled and passionate clinical team, we would love to hear from you!

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be primarily responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to clients in the community. In this role, you will also provide support and assistance to Care Partners and internal teams across assessment, care planning, service coordination, monitoring and review.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will provide clinical care to our clients in the community and will support clients with wound management, catheter care and chronic disease management under the clinical direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Utilise validated clinical assessment tools to identify high-risk or high-prevalence health issues
  • Provide education and resources to clients and families on clinical risk management and ongoing care strategies
  • Recommend equipment or assistive devices within scope of practice to support daily living
  • Actively collaborate with GPs and Allied Health professionals to support comprehensive care planning
  • Work in line with Melville Cares’ Clinical Governance Framework

Essential Criteria:

  • Comply with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Enrolled Nurse Standards for Practice.
  • Current Registration with the AHPRA.
  • At least two years’ experience working as an Enrolled Nurse, with dementia care experience highly regarded.
  • Excellent Communicational skills both Verbal and written.
  • A current driver’s licence
  • Police clearance certificate (less than 3 months old).

Desirable clinical experience

  • Nursing experience in aged care, including residential or community care.
  • Knowledge and experience in Dementia care.
