The Accounts Payable Officer Role

This is a part-time position (25 hours per week) with working hours from 9 am to 2 pm on-site. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and issue payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including proper documentation and filing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any payment or invoicing issues.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities, including AP reconciliations and reporting.
  • Provide support to the finance team in various financial analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to accounts payable processes.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar administrative roles.
  • Strong understanding of AP processes and internal controls.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP B1 or NetSuite (preferred, but not required).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • A team player who works well across departments.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
