We are seeking a full-time Electrical Project Manager to join our Queensland branch in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to lead a diverse range of commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and capital works projects across the Brisbane region.

About the Role

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will lead projects through the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to execution and final close-out.

You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards expected from Mega Electrics.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients while maintaining project performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Introduce New clients and new opportunities into the business
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple electrical projects simultaneously across various sectors.
  • Plan, oversee, and direct electrical works as part of larger construction projects.
  • Lead projects from concept through to completion.
  • Prepare project programs, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Monitor project financial performance and manage costs throughout the lifecycle.
  • Review project documentation including estimates, drawings, specifications, proposals, and contracts.
  • Coordinate and supervise internal teams and subcontractors to meet project goals.
  • Inspect completed works to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain compliance with WHS legislation, Australian Standards, and company safety systems.
  • Ensure all required documentation and reporting is completed throughout the project.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, the Executive Leadership Team, and internal departments including HR

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong technical knowledge and leadership capabilities, with proven experience managing electrical construction projects.

Requirements include:

  • Queensland Electrical Licence
  • Trade qualification in Electrotechnology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a project manager (commercial/industrial)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Project Management, or Construction Management
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards and WHS practices in Queensland
  • Proven experience in project scheduling, budgeting, and team coordination
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Simpro, Procore or other Project Management software (desirable)
