As part of our continued growth and strategic focus on expanding patient access to treatment, we are seeking a Medical Sales Liaison to join our team in Sydney, NSW.

About the Role

The Medical Sales Liaison sits within Medcan’s Sales team and plays a key role in driving both clinical education and sales growth across healthcare prescribers and specialist medicinal cannabis clinics.

This position is a remote role that is responsible for building strong relationships with healthcare practitioners, increasing awareness and knowledge of medicinal cannabis therapies, and supporting prescribers to deliver improved patient outcomes.

The role reports to the Pharmaceutical Sales Manager, who is based in Brisbane, and involves regular engagement with doctors, pharmacists, clinics, and industry stakeholders across the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

Build Strong Healthcare Partnerships

  • Develop trusted relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and medicinal cannabis clinics across your territory
  • Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with healthcare practitioners to provide clinical education and product insights
  • Support prescribers through the prescribing journey and help expand patient access to our medicines
  • Identify and engage new healthcare practitioners and clinics

Territory Management & Sales Growth

  • Manage and grow a defined territory, achieving targets for revenue, new prescribers, and patient numbers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for growth
  • Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and data tools
  • Prepare territory business plans and performance reports

Clinical Education & Scientific Engagement

  • Maintain a high level of clinical and medicinal cannabis product knowledge
  • Deliver educational presentations and host HCP education events
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and educational forums
  • Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within your territory

Compliance & Ethical Practice

  • Ensure all activities align with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) requirements and industry regulations
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct

The non-negotiables

You are someone who is scientifically credible, commercially minded, and highly motivated to make an impact in patient care.

Experience & Qualifications

  • A Health Science degree (e.g. nursing, pharmacy, medical science or similar)
  • 5+ years’ experience applying your health science background in a commercial or clinical environment (highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in sales, territory management, or business development
  • Strong experience presenting clinical or scientific information to healthcare professionals

  • Comfortable using CRM systems, data tools, and presentation software

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel across your assigned territory and interstate when required
  • Comfortable attending conferences and educational events
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Police Check (non-disclosable outcome)
