SUPERVISOR – MECHANICAL

Site Leadership. Real Ownership

Mecha is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead site-based mechanical works across projects, planned maintenance, breakdowns and shutdowns throughout Central Queensland.

This role is primarily site based, with occasional time in the office or workshop for planning, coordination and reporting.

The Role

As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will be the primary site lead, responsible for safe, efficient and high-quality delivery across a variety of work scopes.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising mechanical works across projects, maintenance, breakdowns and shutdowns
• Leading crews onsite and coordinating subcontractors
• Planning daily and short-term site activities to meet tight deadlines
• Managing changing priorities and responding to breakdown work
• Monitoring job progress, productivity and costs
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients onsite
• Driving strong safety leadership, compliance and risk management
• Providing hands-on technical support when required
• Completing site reporting, documentation and handovers

About You

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter with proven site leadership experience
• Minimum 5 years in mechanical supervision within heavy industry
• Comfortable running jobs on site and dealing directly with clients
• Strong planning, cost and time awareness
• Calm, decisive leader with a strong safety focus
• Flexible to work across sites as required
