Mine Geologist – Expression of Interest

MEC is seeking an experienced Mine Geologist for an immediate contract opportunity with a leading mining operation in Central Queensland. This is an initial 3-month engagement with potential for extension, operating on an 8/6 FIFO roster.

As Mine Geologist, you will play a critical role in optimizing mineral extraction through effective grade control and geological support. You’ll be responsible for:

Grade Control Management

• Overseeing extraction activities to minimize dilution and ore loss through robust grade control practice.

Data Management

• Recording geological and production information essential for feed control and reconciliation against resource models.

Drilling Program Supervision

• Assisting with and supervising grade control drilling programs, ensuring adherence to logging, sampling, and assaying protocols.

Technical Support

• Providing geological expertise to mine planning and operations teams to achieve ore quality targets.

Regulatory Compliance

• Collecting and managing relevant geological and environmental data in support of operational and regulatory requirements.
