The opportunity
Reporting into the Head of Product Development, this role plays a critical role in shaping new and improved products – from ideation through to launch. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to bring innovation to life, on time and to specification.
The role
- Product ideation & concept development
Generate and refine new product ideas and enhancements using market research, supplier partnerships, customer feedback and competitive insights, while applying a curious, experimental mindset and leveraging AI driven insights to uncover new opportunities and accelerate innovation.
- Requirements & specifications
Define clear product requirements, specifications and user stories that align to customer needs and business objectives.
Own product development projects end to end, managing scope, timelines, milestones and resources to deliver on time and within budget.
- Cross functional collaboration
Work closely with Consumer Insights, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial (including International & E commerce), Brand & Education, Finance, Quality and Regulatory teams.
- Design & development oversight
Oversee product design, formulation, prototyping and iteration with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
- Quality, testing & compliance
Coordinate consumer, safety and validation testing, and partner with Quality & Regulatory to ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements.
What you’ll bring
- Strong understanding of FMCG regulatory and quality environments, ideally within Pharmacy
- Proven experience managing complex, cross functional product development programs
- Commercial judgement – balancing innovation, speed, cost and manufacturability
- Strong technical problem solving and risk assessment skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise under pressure
- A collaborative, delivery focused working style
