FP&A Manager

Sydney | Full-time

We’re looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to help rebuild, modernise and elevate our financial planning, forecasting and reporting capability. This role plays a critical part in shaping how the business uses financial insight to drive decision‑making, with a strong focus on systems transformation, ERP implementation and scalable FP&A fundamentals.

If you thrive at the intersection of numbers, systems and strategy, and enjoy translating complexity into clarity, this is an opportunity to make a lasting impact.

About the role

Reporting into senior finance leadership, the FP&A Manager will act as a key bridge between current-state finance operations and future-state ERP and FP&A solutions.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves to rebuild foundations, improve data quality and support smarter decision-making.

Key responsibilities

FP&A transformation & systems

  • Develop a deep understanding of existing finance systems, data flows, models and processes, including complexity and limitations
  • Assess current planning, forecasting and reporting practices and identify gaps against best practice
  • Document processes, dependencies and pain points to inform system and process redesign
  • Act as a key FP&A representative on the ERP implementation program
  • Support the design, testing and deployment of FP&A‑related ERP and planning solutions
  • Translate business and FP&A requirements into effective system and reporting solutions
  • Lead FP&A‑related UAT, reconciliations and data validation
  • Develop system documentation, controls and user guidance

FP&A fundamentals & insight

  • Rebuild and standardise FP&A foundations, including budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Develop integrated financial models across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and scenario analysis
  • Establish robust master data structures and cost allocation methodologies
  • Improve data quality, consistency and scalability of FP&A outputs
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate and standardise reporting and processes
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights that support commercial decision‑making

What you’ll bring

  • CA or CPA qualification with 5–7 years’ experience in commercial FP&A
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail or similarly complex environments
  • Proven exposure to finance system implementations or transformations (ERP and/or FP&A platforms)
  • Hands-on experience with TM1 or similar planning and reporting tools
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability with strong systems aptitude
  • Strong variance analysis skills and ability to translate data into insight
  • Highly analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills and confidence working through ambiguity
  • Ability to partner effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders

Why join us?

  • A rare opportunity to shape the future of FP&A
  • Significant exposure to ERP implementation and systems transformation
  • A role with genuine influence on how the business plans, forecasts and performs
  • Collaborative, commercial finance team with strong leadership support
  • The chance to leave a lasting, scalable legacy

If you’re an FP&A professional who enjoys building capability, improving systems and delivering insight that matters, we’d love to hear from you.
