Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Steel Fixer Level 3 (CW3) to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. This temporary, casual role is essential for the successful completion of various building and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in steel fixing, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and follow engineering drawings and specifications to accurately place and secure steel reinforcement.
• Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and mesh in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets industry standards.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior steel fixers and apprentices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer, preferably at a Level 3 (CW3) standard.
• Relevant trade qualification or certification in steel fixing or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction safety practices and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to work in various weather conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
