Full Time Position – Estimator

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced contract estimator to become
part of our growing Technical Team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely
with a team of skilled Technical Designers and the Sales Team to deliver a
diverse range of projects within set timeframes.
This role is focused on developing and expanding long-term manufacturing
partnerships across industries such as electronics & multimedia,
agriculture, automotive, defence, engineering and emerging sectors.
Our contract manufacturing work involves small-to-medium volume production runs of
precision components supplying OEMs and product manufacturers who require
consistent quality, reliability and scalable production capability.
The successful candidate will:
– Leverage existing
industry relationships and networks to generate new business opportunities
– Identify and pursue new
markets where our manufacturing capability can add value
– Develop long-term
supply agreements with manufacturers requiring ongoing production
– Work closely with our
estimating and production teams to convert opportunities into repeat, scalable
work
– Take a proactive, commercially driven approach to pipeline development
This role is ideally suited to someone with established connections in
manufacturing, product development and/or industrial sectors who understands relevant
production environments and can confidently engage decision-makers.

communication skills, and previous experience in sheet metal manufacturing or
manufacturing industries are essential.
Key Responsibilities
– Break down conceptual products
and plans/drawings across a range of industries and project types
– Accurately
estimate time/labour, machinery and material requirements
– Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical documentation
– Collaborate with team members, management, clients and suppliers
– Deliver projects on time and within budget
– Provide regular progress updates to key stakeholders
About You – Skills & Experience
– Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as an Estimator in preferably a sheet metal, engineering or fabrication role
– Proficiency in understanding and breaking down both conceptual and technical documentation
– Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
– Proven ability to estimate, ensuring product meets manufacture requirements (Understand machine limitations and material capabilities)
– Sheet metal knowledge (advantageous)
– Excellent project management, time management and organisational abilities
– Strong problem-solving skills with a creative, solutions-focused mindset
– High attention to detail and strong revision control
– Willingness to take a hands-on approach to ensure design functionality
