The Role:

MCA Engineering is now seeking a Civil / Mechanical Project Engineer to join our growing Project team, based in Central West NSW, to take a ‘hands-on’ approach working on site, with the team and established workshop. You and the team will be responsible for delivering, end to end, exceptional products and services to exceed expectations.  The successful candidate will ideally be based in Parkes NSW or the surrounding area. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring timelines are met in line with business and clients’ needs
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships
  • Undertake design deliverables through to manufacturing and installation
  • Contribute to the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of specific items
  • Assist and/or complete tender submissions
  • Weekly reporting on projects progress 
  • Assist with the coordination of projects including stakeholders and activities on-site as well as manufacturing processes within the MCA manufacture process and or Subcontractors. 
  • High proficiency with P6 & Microsoft Project scheduling software. 
  • Co-ordinate with MCA and or Sub-Contractor engineers to resolve technical queries.

 

About you:

  • A Degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mining and/or construction industry
  • Demonstratable leadership skills
  • Planning and Scheduling experience
  • Ability to read and interpret (multi-disciplinary) technical documents and plans 
  • Familiar with relevant Australian and Industry Standards. 
  • Preparation to close-out of QA documents 
  • Team player and able to develop and foster constructive relationships. 
  • Ability to travel to sites throughout Australia.
  • Ability to work on a mine site against a 5:2 or 10:4 roster. 
  • Participate and drive a team approach in the design through to execution of projects
  • Proven experience with streaming processes to ensure timeframes are met
