About This Position
South Coast Foodservice are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Leading Hand “all-rounder”
who is highly dependable, proactive and thrives in a hands on role. The
position will support the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in operations and
also provide support to the purchasing administration functions. The role requires
good organisational capability and the ability to manage both physical
warehouse duties and system-based inventory processes. The position may also
involve delivery support when required.
Key Responsibilities: Support the Warehouse and Logistics Manager in the following
· Support warehouse and logistics operations and administrative support as required.
· Unload, receive and inspect incoming stock.
· Accurate recording of stock received and assist with receipting stock into the inventory system.
· Verify deliveries against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
· Process and reconcile stock into the inventory system.
· Ensure all inventory management procedures are followed.
· Pick, pack and prepare orders for despatch.
· Support delivery scheduling, routing, and load management.
· Plan and schedule multi-drop delivery routes.
· Ensure loaders consolidate orders and prepare trucks for on-time departure.
· Liaise with drivers, warehouse staff, and customer service.
· Maintain a clean and organized receivals and storage areas.
· Support workplace health and safety and food safety compliance.
Skills experience and Essential Requirements
· Previous experience within a warehouse and distribution environment preferred.
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and help lead a team.
· Experience with inventory management, purchase order and supplier invoice processes.
· Willing to work overtime or complete delivery runs when required.
· Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
· Forklift and HR licence required. First Aid certificate highly regarded.
· Medically fit and able to pass drug and alcohol testing.
- Current National Police Clearance required.
