About the Role
Max Stocks is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Store People to join our Cairns warehouse team. This role is all about getting our customer orders ready safely, accurately and with care. You’ll work as part of a well-oiled team, picking and packing across our freezer, chiller and dry areas, helping make sure our customers get the products they order, every time.
We have the below full-time vacancies available:
- Morning shift working Monday to Friday from 4am to 12:30pm
- Day shift working Monday to Friday from 6am to 2:30pm
- Day shift working Monday to Friday from 7am to 3pm
Key Responsibilities
- Pick/pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist in the safe loading of goods into vehicles for delivery
- Stock replenishment
- Correctly present paperwork in line with procedures
- Practice safe and correct manual handling
- General warehouse duties in a dry and cold store environment
Key Competencies, Skills and Qualifications
- Forklift licence essential
- C Class Driver Licence preferable
- Comfortable working in cold environments (down to -25°C)
- Previous experience and understanding of warehouse and transport operations, preferably in the food service industry
- Good organisational, communication and time-management skills
- Highly motivated, flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive can-do attitude
- Be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
- Great attention to detail and ability to learn a broad range of products
- Understanding of WHS and HACCP requirements
- Physically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling
