About the Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical Inventory Analyst to manage and optimise stock levels across our distribution operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, trends, and spreadsheets, and who can translate numbers into practical operational decisions. You will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels, analysing stock movement, managing replenishment cycles, and identifying risks such as potential stockouts or product expiry.

Success in this role will come from being proactive, detail-oriented, and highly comfortable working with data to support efficient and accurate stock management. While experience in FMCG, wholesale, warehousing, or distribution is beneficial, we are primarily seeking someone with strong analytical capability and a structured approach to inventory management.

Location: Australia-wide / Remote Friendly

We’re flexible when it comes to location. This role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Australia.

There is also the opportunity to work from one of our five Queensland branch locations, making this a great option for anyone considering a sunshine sea-change to one of Queensland’s fantastic coastal or regional communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse stock levels, movements, and demand trends to maintain optimal inventory coverage.
  • Generate and manage replenishment orders, adjusting for lead times and historical usage patterns.
  • Monitor product expiry dates and implement strategies to reduce waste and write-offs.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and develop reporting tools to provide insights on inventory performance.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure smooth stock flow and alignment with company strategies.
  • Lead and mentor the inventory team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong analytical skills with experience in inventory management and forecasting.
  • Is proficient in Excel and reporting tools for data analysis and presentation.
  • Is detail-oriented with a proactive approach to stock control, expiry management, and waste reduction.
  • Experience leading or mentoring teams is highly desirable.

In return, we offer:

  • Flexible location – work remotely anywhere in Australia
  • Option to work from one of our Queensland branch locations
  • A performance-driven role with the opportunity to participate in our Incentive Program
  • A dynamic, well respected, locally owned family business

For candidates considering a sunshine sea-change, our Queensland locations offer the chance to combine a great role with an excellent lifestyle.

As part of our recruitment process, do you agree to undertake employment checks? Depending on the role, checks may include a medical assessment (including a drug and alcohol test), National Police History Check, Working with Children/Vulnerable Groups Check, Licence Validation/Demerit Point Check.
