  • We are now seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to drive operational excellence, safety, and team performance across multiple Melbourne production sites with expansion further afield in the future.

  • The Opportunity
  • As Production Supervisor, you will oversee production operations across three sites (with future growth planned). Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a critical leadership role in ensuring:
    • Operational consistency and quality across sites
    • Strong WHS compliance and safety-first culture
    • Lean process implementation and continuous improvement
    • High team engagement and capability development
    • Seamless coordination with logistics and external stakeholders

    This is a leadership role with genuine influence. Your impact will be visible in safety outcomes, production performance, team culture, and operational scalability.

    What You will Be Responsible For

    Safety & Compliance Leadership

    • Champion workplace health and safety across all sites
    • Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident reporting
    • Embed a proactive, safety-first mindset in every team

    Production & Operational Excellence

    • Manage daily, weekly and long-term production targets
    • Implement and maintain Lean and quality manufacturing principles
    • Standardise processes and ensure documentation consistency
    • Optimise labour and resource allocation
    • Oversee preparation, packaging, documentation and freight readiness

    People Leadership & Development

    • Lead and mentor Production 2ICs and Operators
    • Drive recruitment, onboarding and on-the-job training
    • Conduct toolbox talks and performance reviews
    • Build a positive, accountable, high-performance team culture
    • Strengthen collaboration with abattoir management and internal teams

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive process refinement and operational efficiency initiatives
    • Ensure compliance with relevant specifications and procedures
    • Participate in audits (internal and external)
    • Support scalability as new regional sites are established

    About You

    You are a structured, calm and confident leader who leads from the front.

    You bring:

    • Experience leading production teams across multiple sites
    • Strong operational and process orientation
    • Proven WHS leadership capability
    • Experience in manufacturing, processing, logistics or related environments
    • Ability to travel regularly between metropolitan and regional sites
    • Clear communication and professional stakeholder management skills
    • High attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
    • Confidence working with MS Office and operational reporting
