Member Engagement Officer – Electrical/Safety (fixed term contract)

The Role  

This is a fixed term, full time contract opportunity supporting our Field Support function in South Australia.

As a Field Support Advisor, you will be a trusted ambassador for MEA, building rapport with members through regular communication and on-site visits. With some travel across SA, you will provide valuable support to help members navigate a fast-changing industry. Key responsibilities include: 

  • Providing guidance on legislation, regulations, Codes of Practices and Standards    
  • Facilitating, conducting, and growing regular fee-for-service offerings such as safety meetings, safety system audits, bespoke document creation and consultations (i.e. SWMS, policies & procedures) 
  • Promoting MEA services and products, especially those of a safety, environmental/energy, quality, and technical nature 
  • Product and service development as well as access to information and updates affecting safety and technical performance, including those related to MEA’s Safety system 
  • Mentoring and training members whilst delivering formalised business growth programs such as the Master program

What we are looking for: 

  • A recognised trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter/Mechanic (Highly Desired) 
  • Relevant post trade experience from either a residential, commercial, or industrial field and/or a combination of these areas (Highly Desired) 
  • Experience within the electrical contracting and/ or the electrical wholesale industry (Highly Desired) 
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment and Cert IV in OH&S qualifications (Desired) 
  • Proven track record of coaching and or mentoring experience (Desired)
