About The Role

We are seeking talented intermediate to senior level civil design engineers, with experience in either road and grading, stormwater design, and/or flood modelling, to become a valued member of our busy multidisciplinary engineering office based in Hornsby, NSW.

The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to build on their existing career and progress it to the next level.

It involves working from our Hornsby office on projects with a wide range of civil engineering works including:

  • Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads, regrading, etc.
  • Property and development drainage assessment.
  • Development of site water quality, quantity and drainage solutions.
  • Flood assessments, remediation and management plans.

About You

We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

It is essential for the applicants to have:

  • Civil Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated local experience in civil design.
  • Good written and verbal communication and proficient report writing skills in English.
  • The ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi disciplinary team environment.
  • Positive and proactive attitude and be motivated, team player, organised and eager to learn.
  • Full time Australian work rights, preferably permanent (no restricted visa holders).

Any of the following experiences and qualities will be considered favourable:

  • Previous experience in multi disciplinary consultancy, especially in land development projects, preferably in Australia.
  • Grading and road design with civil modelling software packages (12d Model, Civil 3d, etc.).
  • Hydraulic, hydrological and water quality models (TUFLOW, DRAINS, HEC-RAS, RAFTS, MUSIC, 12d Model’s DNE, etc.).
  • CAD software packages (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.).
  • GIS software packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.).
  • Computer programming and scripting (Python, PyQGIS, VBA, PowerShell, C++, AutoLISP, etc.).
  • NSW full driver licence.
