The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Legal Float Secretary with 12 months previous experience as a legal secretary to join our team. The role is predominantly based at our head office in Campbelltown, however from time to time, it will be necessary to travel to our branch offices which are located in Camden, Oran Park, Liverpool and Sydney.

As a Legal Float Secretary you will assist various practice groups across the firm to provide valued support during periods of leave and other absences, plus additional support during busy periods.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills;

  • Be an enthusiastic team player who is willing to support others;

  • A confident ‘can do’ attitude approach to work;

  • Be highly adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment;

  • MS office suite experience at an intermediate level; and

  • Experience in Digital Dictation, Affinity, HotDocs and Work Site Document Management would be highly regarded, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Legal Float Secretary you will provide a range of admin support, general diary and inbox management, as well as some ad hoc responsibilities, such as archiving and reception relief. Other responsibilities may be: 

  • a high level of admin support, as required;

  • opening and closing files;

  • monthly billing; and

  • diary management, including organising internal and external client meetings.
