Your Role

As the Executive Assistant to Project Director, you’ll be a key point of coordination for the Project Director, Director Implementation and broader Project Delivery leadership team, providing high-level executive, administrative and project coordination support in a dynamic and complex environment.

You’ll:

• Manage executive calendars, correspondence, travel and competing priorities to ensure effective time management and alignment with strategic objectives.

• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and board papers with accuracy, professionalism and attention to detail.

• Monitor and track key deliverables, actions and milestones across Project Delivery to support executive accountability.

• Coordinate stakeholder engagement activities, acting as a trusted liaison with government agencies, industry partners and internal teams.

• Maintain key project registers and reporting tools, including status reports, change registers and roadmaps.

• Provide secretariat support for leadership meetings and forums, including agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking.

• Lead or support cross-functional initiatives and process improvement projects that enhance efficiency and governance outcomes.

You’ll Need

• Diploma in Business Management (or equivalent experience) with extensive experience providing high-level executive support in complex, fast-paced environments. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously while maintaining exceptional quality and meeting tight deadlines.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working in environments subject to high levels of scrutiny and corporate governance.

• Proven capability in preparing professional reports, board documentation and executive-level communications.

• Sound understanding of project and program management methodologies and governance frameworks.

• High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational capability and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

• Demonstrated leadership capability, including coordinating workflows, supporting team performance and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Marinus Link is the bridge to a smarter, greener and more connected future. This state-of-the-art infrastructure project will strengthen Australia’s national electricity grid, unlock thousands of jobs and promote renewable energy investment. The two-way energy highway will enable Tasmania and Victoria to share much more electricity, pairing Victoria’s wind and solar with Tasmania’s flexible hydropower system and geographically diverse wind. This is a powerful synergy that strengthens the grid for both states. Marinus Link’s fibre optic cables will improve digital connectivity between Tasmania and Victoria by 150 times. After years of planning and design, construction is on the horizon. Marinus Link is jointly owned by the Commonwealth of Australia, the State of Tasmania and the State of Victoria.
