Plant Assistant – Mobile Crushing

Are you mechanically minded, hands-on, and not afraid to get in and amongst it?

We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Plant Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role supporting our Lead Hand with the day-to-day running, maintenance and upkeep of our plant and equipment.

About the Role

This position will see you working closely with the Lead Hand to keep our plant running efficiently and safely. You’ll be involved in housekeeping, basic maintenance tasks, and assisting with minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the Lead Hand with daily plant operations
• Completing housekeeping to maintain a safe and efficient site
• Supporting maintenance activities including: Skirt adjustments and replacements, Roller and bearing changes
• General wear part replacements
• Greasing, basic servicing and preventative maintenance
• Assisting with breakdowns and shutdown work
• Operating machinery (operating skills are a bonus)

About You

• Mechanically minded with strong practical skills
• Comfortable working with tools and heavy equipment
• Ideally someone who has grown up around tractors, machinery or farming equipment
• Happy to roll up your sleeves and work in a hands-on environment
• Strong work ethic and team player
• Safety-focused and reliable
• Operating experience highly regarded but not essential

Ordinary working hours are Monday – Thursday, 6.30am – 5.30pm with regular overtime opportunities.
