Diesel Mechanic

Mansfield Constructions is a privately owned local business who has built a strong reputation in the Quarry, Earthmoving and Civil Construction industry for having a highly reliable and motivated team of trained staff and well-maintained plant.

We are currently seeking qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team in Mansfield.

The role

The successful Diesel Mechanic will assist in servicing, repair and maintenance of plant equipment and trucks including fault finding and diagnostics to help prevent break downs or unexpected down time of machinery.

• Diagnose faults on heavy earthmoving equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance to maintain quality and condition of our equipment.
• Perform minor and major repairs on all equipment according to agreed schedules and work orders.
• Complete preventative maintenance.
• Major component re-builds.
• Attending break downs on site and ensuring machines are brought back into service in a safe and reasonable time frame.
• Travel and work away as and when required.

About you

The successful candidate will have a mechanical trade qualification (heavy plant preferable), manual drivers license (HR preferred), a white/red card, along with min 5 years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic. You will demonstrate high ethical standards, work attitude and aptitude for working under pressure. Delivering first class service and support to clients comes naturally to you, as well as excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. You will be part of a high performing team that communicates across all levels and stakeholders with respect and accountability.
