About the Opportunity
We’re looking for an Associate to join our Commercial team in Dandenong, working closely with Principal, Jason Ashton, together with a highly skilled team. Known as the “go‑to” for complex commercial matters and for his practical, problem‑solving approach, Jason brings broad experience across small to medium businesses and the wholesale manufacturing sector.
You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of transactional and advisory work, while learning from a leader who thrives on variety and delivers clear, commercially grounded solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Business and share sales together with acquisitions.
- Preparation and negotiation of shareholder and partnership agreements.
- Expert advice on corporate restructuring, governance and compliance.
If you’re client‑focused and commercially savvy, you’ll appreciate the scope this role offers for development and meaningful contribution.
About You
You’ll ideally bring:
- At least 3 years PQE in commercial law.
- Demonstrated experience handling large scale transactions of $3 million and above.
- A degree in economics or accounting (desirable).
- Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to deliver clear and commercially tailored advice.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging directly with clients.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
