Position Summary

Join a manufacturing company as a key member of the Sales team, responsible for the management of key industrial accounts to maintain long term relationships with customers, driving sales activities and acquiring new business.

General Functions and Tasks

  • Build long term relationship with customer
  • Provide sales & strategy leadership for specific account(s)
  • Develop and maintain strategies and opportunities
  • Develop and implement customer account plans designed to achieve order, revenue, and margin projections
  • Coordinate and leverage resources to present “One face to the customer” to provide complete customer satisfaction
  • Lead formulation and execution of sales strategy
  • Negotiate pricing adjustments
  • Maintain general and project specific communication links with colleagues internally and within other territories
  • Drive sales of new products and applications at assigned accounts
  • Create and deploy new product and application sales tools, including success stories, customer presentations, installation lists, ROI calculations and sample proposals
  • Provide business analysis including trend data, customer retention and development and other activities as required
  • Create and maintain customer profile and SWOT for assigned accounts including sales potential, operating structure, sites, contacts, and other information as needed
  • Interface with sales management and services team to ensure capture of all potential product sales
  • Cultivate relationship with senior management and decision makers in the assigned market or account(s)
  • Draw on available resources as needed to achieve regional, market, product, or account specific objectives
  • Contribute best practice concepts from customers and counterparts within Mackay

Skills & Attributes

  • Mechanical Engineering degree or Trade Certificate (advantageous)
  • Experience in key account management / territory sales
  • 2 years’ Experience with Blackwoods / Motion APAC / Bunnings accounts (advantageous)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a similar role desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills including communication and negotiation skills,
  • Be highly motivated, self-starting individual with ability to work within a team or autonomously
  • Ability to effectively interreact & develop relationships

Eligibility

  • Applicant must be willing to undergo a National Police Clearance
  • Applicants must be willing to undergo a Medical
  • Applicants may be required to be eligible to obtain a Baseline security clearance, sponsored by Mackay.
