Description

We are looking for a Finance Officer to support the day‑to‑day running of our finance function in a part‑time role. This position suits someone who enjoys working with detail, values accuracy, and wants to be part of a team that works closely together.

You will work alongside the Head of Finance, Management Accountant and other teams across the business, contributing to accounts, payments and finance administration that keep MAC Trade Services running smoothly. The role offers structure, support and flexibility, making it well suited to someone early in their finance career, returning to work or seeking a balanced, part‑time role.

We are flexible in how this role is worked, with a preference for hours spread across 4-5 days to balance team coverage and individual needs.

In this role you will:

  • Support accounts receivable and accounts payable activities
  • Process customer and supplier invoices accurately and on time
  • Reconcile bank transactions and assist with month‑end tasks
  • Support payment runs for suppliers, contractors and installers
  • Respond to finance‑related queries from internal teams
  • Maintain accurate customer and supplier records
  • Assist with general finance administration and documentation
  • Work within established processes while contributing to improvements where appropriate

What you will bring:

  • Experience in finance, bookkeeping or accounts administration, or relevant study
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in accurate work
  • Comfort working with numbers and financial information
  • Good organisation skills and a steady, reliable approach
  • Clear and respectful communication style
  • Confidence using systems such as Xero, or similar, with willingness to learn
  • A practical, team‑oriented mindset.
