About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate hands-on Learning & Development Advisor to support workforce capability across our home care services. This role is ideal for someone with a strong clinical background who understands the operational realities of care environments and is committed to building workforce capability through practical, engaging training solutions.

Reporting to the People & Development Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating, delivering, designing and improving training programs to ensure compliance, capability, and quality care outcomes. You will work closely with operational leaders to identify skill gaps, support mandatory training requirements, and drive a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and facilitate face-to-face and virtual training sessions
  • Oversee mandatory compliance training thought our LMS and competency assessments
  • Support onboarding and facilitate weekly induction programs
  • Competency assessments and sign off’s
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps and training needs within the organisation
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback and performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Maintain and manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Monitor training completion and provide reporting to leadership
  • Ensure alignment with aged care standards and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits and quality reviews relating to training
  • Identify learning needs and implement practical development solutions

About you:

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (required)
  • Clinical background (e.g., Registered Nurse, or similar required)
  • Experience within aged care or home care environments (essential)
  • Strong understanding of compliance, competency frameworks and regulatory standards
  • Experience facilitating training to diverse workforce groups (Care staff and Support Staff)
  • Confident using learning management systems and digital learning tools
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to balance operational priorities with training delivery
  • Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • The right to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
  • Current Level 2 First Aid (or willingness to obtain if successful)
